What are the Types of Tile Layout Method?

Installation and arrangement of tiles is a tedious job but it can be made interesting even by installing simple tiles for creating a stunning wall or floor plan. Here are the types of tile layout method.

Direct layout

In this very model, which is usually used for flooring, the tuilesCarreaux Metroare arranged one after another at same angles. This design offers a quadrilateral view that flows smoothly via the tile lines. The design is considered super modern, luminous, attractive and simple at the same time.

Diagonal layout

You can also call this model a diamond model where the square tiles are angled at 45 degrees to create a diamond pattern. The layout of the diamond design is in such a way that the focus is always on the widest diamond hence this is very importantly used for representing a room.

Continuous layout

In this layout which is also called brick layout, you can create zigzag grouting lines by installing each tile in the middle of the top and bottom tiles. Bathroom sinks and showers usually use this design for covering wall defects like bending or uneven curvature. This layout has an advantage that with the help of simple tiles, a design can be formed to make the surface look appealing, costly and valuable.

Checkerboard layout

Black and white marble tiles that are available in two different colors can be installed directly or diagonally in the grid form. It is best to install the tiles on the surface with no slurry before you install them. For the same, you need to install the first tile in the center of the room and then place other tiles for reaching the walls. If you like what you see, then by all means install the tiles.

Features of a good adhesive

When installing the tiles, you need to have a good quality adhesive. These are the features you should look for.

Tile adhesives must always be ready to use in packs and all you have to do is mix them well with water. Packaging the products helps in the displacement process and causes less dust and pollution. When you are using glue, it gives you an advantage of applying it directly and doesn’t need to be floated as well.

It also helps in speeding up the work of installing the tiles. Usually, a toothed trowel is used due to its applicability for applying the tile glue in an area of a square meter where the tiles are continuously installed to the toothed adhesive and then aligned in a line.
