Howard House Victorian Bed & Breakfast offers six comfortable guest rooms with wonderful common areas for our guests to find fun conversation or private time to read a book! Our front porch is spacious and has a swing, rocking chairs, tables and a view of the Neuse River. Our large sitting Parlor offers a cozy fireplace and a comfortable area for our guests to converse, play games, read, play the piano or guitar, listen to soothing music or just relax after a full day of activities around town. Complimentary wine and cheese is provided for our guests in the afternoon from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in the parlor. A guest refrigerator stocked with sodas and an icemaker are available on the first floor for our guest to refresh themselves during the day. A full Gourmet Breakfast awaits you each morning in the gracious formal dining room at a specified time convenient for our guests. The breakfast menu changes daily and is served on family china and crystal. The affair begins with a fresh fruit appetizer, your choice of juices, fresh ground coffee and teas. A hot egg dish and sweet dish is served each day and may include Bacon Omelet Baskets and Strawberry Stuffed French Toast or Apple Pecan Pancakes. Coffee is available on the guest floor server one hour prior to breakfast for those who need a wake-up call.
